The global labour market is showing signs of gradual recovery, with unemployment rates falling in many countries and employment beginning to pick up. However, there is still a high level of uncertainty due to volatile economic and political factors, as well as changes in industrial structures. Reskilling and upskilling the workforce and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are essential to create jobs and stimulate sustainable economic growth over the long term, to meet the challenges ahead and ensure job security.
